Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Establishment, optimization and conducting of FACS & SPR-based assays for timely delivery of high-quality data to fulfill the requests from various projects including protein therapeutics and gene therapy candidates; Provide proactive input to project teams regarding assay feasibility and suitability; Coordination of delegated work within team to ensure timely completion of work packages; Coaches, trains, reviews and development of team members; Take responsibility as preclinical project lead for selected research projects; Effective and transparent communication with laboratory team, colleagues and other key stakeholders within CSL's global R&D organization; Managing of required samples & reagents (ordering, tracking, usage & disposal); Planning and performing experimental work, including data analysis (statistics) and communicating results to project teams; Interpretation and communication of complex scientific data in form of presentation or report (in English) to a broader audience (lab meetings, department meetings, expert team meetings etc.); Creation and maintenance of data and respective records within internal documentation systems (e.g. ELN); Ensuring lab operation in compliance with various regulations and laws (Work Safety, Biological Safety, Gene-Technology Safety, Environmental Safety, etc.); Contribution to experimental troubleshooting, and planning of next steps; Supporting the procurement and establishment of new devices and systems; Planning and execution of equipment maintenance (service & qualifications) in cooperation with in-/external service providers; Contributing to publications (congresses and journals).
